..Nothing but the rain.

Well it's 7.43am and the current outside temp is 52 degrees on Race Day #7. 

Not quite sure how to dress so that I'm:

a) be waterproof (or at least, water resilient)

b) warm yet not overheated

c) still able to run freely

Oh well, I'm off to the showers.. literally, first .. and I suppose figuratively later on.  At least the race is starting at a decent hour this time!

My reflections: Some of you know that I've had several challenges over the last few weeks that he kept me from updating this site as much as I'd like too.  While I did continue to train, various injuries and such kept me from the pace that I had set for myself when I first began.  Nothing should be taken for granted in this life as there are no guarantees.

Even though I didn't feel well enough to do it, I ran the race today, taking plenty of time to rest when I needed to.  It sucked but I'm glad I did it.

I can still hear the rain beating against my window.  Time to grab my gun and bring the cat in.

So endeth the lesson.
